Meeting notes
See Group Leader’s report attached.
Slot car challenge
Our resident Formula One Nut, Martin Faulkner, walked away with the trophy on the evening - AGAIN. Signs of a misspent youth methinks!
Skittles match
Hopefully February/March time. Jennie has been told of an excellent skittles venue in Enderby if that’s of any interest.
Christmas dinner
Don’t forget the Not-quite-Christmas Dinner on the last Saturday in January (27th) at Kibworth Working Men’s Club.
You should, by now, have given Reg your menu choices.
Please don’t forget Reg needs your money at the December meeting.
TSSC Open Day
This was a very well attended event on the Sunday. I (Andy) popped round to take up John and Margaret on their kind offer of a cuppa.
While discussing TSSC, I should like to mention that I (Andy) have applied for the position of Club Manager there. It has been cleared with the Register who are behind my application.
The TR Register has confirmed that it will not affect my membership of the TR Register International Committee.
Social Scene
David Guzzetta was “bullied” into being scribe. Thanks J By now, I would imagine that John and David will have discussed this.
LTRG AGM
No changes at the top. John Day relinquished TR Action Scribe position. There is a new position of Procurement Officer (ooh er missus!) - clothing, International goodies (including “driving companion”), etc.

Events for 2007
Dick fancies a driving competition of some sort so if anyone knows of a field or anywhere possible please could you make some enquiries and get back to the group so we can discuss the options.
I (Andy) have already been in touch with the Rockingham Estate about Desborough Airfield (just up the road from us) but they want £800. Methinks not!
Someone mentioned an “Economy Run”. (Jen - this really made me laugh!). More to follow perhaps?
TR Register AGM
19th November, Gaydon.
As expected, this was a lively event. Unfortunately, of the wrong nature.
A lot has been written in the Triumph Forum, in other spheres of the Triumph world and in personal correspondence.
There is ongoing correspondence and some articles will appear in the next edition of TR Action - both personal and, perhaps, official.
It’s time a line was drawn underneath the subject of the AGM.
Over the last 10 years, the LTRG has grown in size thanks to the hard work of the Group Leaders and members during that period.
We have what has been recognised as an admirable group and people from far and wide either make the effort to come to Leicester to join us or if the distance is too great for them they wish they could. Let’s hope this unpleasantness dies a death very soon and becomes a “nine day wonder”.
LTRG has always had the creed that it is a car club which prides itself on being firstly and foremostly a social club where the people come first and the tyre kicking is a part of it.
The only good thing which came of the day was the “spirited” drive there and back. Photographic evidence below.

The front page must be one of the best we’ve had. More pics after the Statement of Accounts for 2006.
